Hi John, I don't recommend using Aperture on your iBook. If you look you could maybe squeeze it in with the minimum recommendations.
That is for the Powerbook, which is a lot different then the iBook. I wouldn't recommend it at all, it would really slow down your computer. It deals with a lot of RAW imaging which needs a lot of power and space. I would stick with iPhoto and Photo Elements.

I would expect it to really slow down your computer and take up a lot of space in the near future. From my understanding on how it works, it would seem to be very hard on your ibook, specifically the CPU.
If you look at what it says on the, you will see no mention of the iBook. I believe Aperture is mad for professional photo editing, the iBook wasn't made for such extensive professional editing. My ibook has a 1.42 ghz processor. So its not like its barley scraping by with that, i was more worried about the video card.
I still dont have enough ram but a package came yesterday in the mail from owc for my mom, what is my mom going to do with something from owc so its probably the gig stick of ram that i asked for for christmas, so after the new year i'll respond back with how it works.
