So I have a subscription for Office365 but had ignored Outlook. Decided to spend a weekend morning configuring and testing Outlook on my iMac, MacBook, iPhone and iPad, because in my Windows days I liked the Outlook integration of mail, calendar, contacts, tasks and notes, and because I wanted to try out Outlook's email. Email syncs very nicely across all the devices between iCloud and Outlook, but now I see the serious sync limitations for Outlook Calendar and Contacts. This is what I have discovered: 1. A calendar entry in Outlook on my iMac does not sync to the calendar in Outlook on my MacBook. CalendarOutlookMac does not sync with CalendarOutlookiDevice. Ditto for Contacts.
ContactsOutlookiDevice automatically imported all my iCloud Calendar and Contacts info. New events in OutlookCalendar in one iDevice sync to OutlookCalendar in the other iDevice. But new events created in either OutlookCalendariDevice or iCloudCalendariDevice do not seem to sync to each other. All of which makes Outlook useless for me even as an email client.
